Wasn't comfortable with that plan but what to do? Grandmother needs someone to look after
And I kind of don't like this maid. Too busybody. Likes to poke her nose in or gloat at others sufferings. For instance, I was talking with my dad or quarrel with my sister, she will intentionally stand at a close to us and then grinned widely. I don't even know if she understood us or not though I think she does, she just like to watch commotion and snicker.
Couldn't I have a little privacy here?
Seriously.
Like my aunts and my mother were discussing about traveling and they were browsing some brochure the other day, she just causally walked from towards us and stood behind watching them flipping. I was sitting beside my aunt and at an angle where I was facing her. So I just gave her a glance and well, she figured and retreat.
The other thing is she tries to run away from chores. Like putting the cups back without washing them. Avoiding helping my mom when she's cooking and took nap during afternoon (which is fine if she has nothing to do).
And boy she eats a lot! Twice my share. It's like taking four bowls of rice! Goodness! When she eats, she just gobbles and leave none of the rest. Hmmm.. I wonder if she's not having a good meal back home. Plus our culture both eats rice and our dishes are about the same, fish and vegetables. So there's nothing to be excited about. Plus she's such a glutton. When I bought subway back for mum and I because we were the only ones who were left without lunch, her eyes keep staring at our home. They lit up almost instantly!
I guess it's because its her home country is Myanmar... the other copy of North Korea.
Still.. her family background wasn't that poor.
Alright.. she also has her good points. And a good major point.
She took care of my grandmother. At least under our noses, she's caring and shows affection for her.
And really, that's what we need. Because that's exactly why we hired her.
Still... *sigh*
Guess I have to change my attitude.
